The bartender has a story about this drink!
bittersweet herbal effervescent lingering sweetness

Behind the Drink

A timeless Italian aperitivo first served in the 1860s at Gaspare Campari's bar in Milan. A harmonious blend of Campari and sweet vermouth, topped with sparkling soda, it delivers a balanced mix of bitterness, herbal warmth, and effervescence.

As the predecessor to the Negroni, the Americano offers elegant simplicity with enduring, classic charm.

Ingredients

  • 30ml Rosso Vermouth
  • 30ml Campari
  • 60ml Soda

Build Method

  1. Fill a highball with ice.
  2. Add the Campari and Vermouth, and top with Soda.
  3. Take a slice of Orange Peel and express the oils over the surface of the drink, and wipe around the rim. Use this to garnish.
