Ingredients
- 6 to 10 fresh mint leaves
- half lime, cut into a wedge
- 1 oz lime juice
- 2 tsp sugar (or 1/2 oz syrup)
- 6 cl white rom
- 9 cl soda or 1 cup shaved ice
Build Method
- Muddle mint & lime juice: Place 6 to 10 fresh mint leaves into a highball glass. Add 1 ounce lime juice and 2 teaspoons white sugar (or syrup), then gently muddle: press and twist just enough to release the mint oils without shredding the leaves.
- Add rum & top with soda & ice: Pour in 6 cl white rum and 9cl soda, then fill it with shaved ice, or ice cubes. Feel free to experiment with ratios!
- Garnish & serve: Garnish generously with 3 fresh mint sprigs and serve immediately with a straw.
